For the past few days, I've felt a bit of a cold coming on. (Either that or I'm allergic to Panera.)
So, with that in mind, I present you all with:

Jessica's Guide to Combatting the Common Cold---Winter 2007 Edition

Usually I recommend a strong dose of soup, tea, and denial.
This year, since I have the means to, I chose to fight it in a different way.

1. Miso Soup: mmmmm warm.
2. Spicy Tuna Roll: mmmmm spicy. very spicy.
3. Freddie Mercury (since one cannot have the real thing, listening on a computer will suffice, if loud)

and you can never forget #4.

4. denial: never admit to yourself that you actually have a cold. you are just being pro-active.

This leads into a list of things that I really like.

1. Family-owned/hole-in-the-wall restaurants. If only sushi-udon bakery was closer.
2. Football Home Game Saturdays: The library is empty, restaurants are empty. Nothing like good ol' peace and quiet. (I went to the library today)
3. Queen: specifically "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy", "Seven Seas of Rhye", and "Fat Bottomed Girls."
4. Bad-spellers in the cafeteria: For as long as i knew it, Mr. Matt Chaldekas made amazing signs on the plastic/glass shield near the desserts, warning consumers that certain products contained nuts. they were works of art, I'm serious. The person that does it now, not only does not make drawing, but spells "contains" as CONTIANS. sounds like an alien species.

i'm really bored.

when I worked at Randazzo I had one of the cashiers write the signs for the meat department one time...instead of tenderloin she spelt it "tenderlion" and instead of Black Angus (as in the beef) she wrote "Black Anus" hahaha
